Campus Rally
The new semester is just around the corner. Many new students are moving to Karlsruhe to start their studies. Therefore, we offer a campus rally, filled with fun activities that you can complete within your group.
It's never too late to learn new things about where you study. This will give you the best opportunity to do so and expand your own circle of friends.

Crossing Cultures
Intercultural competences means more than just being polite.
In an increasingly diverse world, understanding cultural differences — and navigating them with awareness and respect — is key.
This interactive workshop offers tools to reflect on your own cultural lens, recognize potential misunderstandings, and build confidence in communicating across cultures.

Everyday life in Germany
This workshop provides essential everyday knowledge about life in Germany—such as shopping, transportation, waste separation, and cultural etiquette—to help international students quickly adapt to daily life.

University Sport Kickoff ‘25
Hochschulsport at KIT presents all their sport offers before the Registration and course start for the summer semester 2025. Come by and get to know the many sports and fitness programs and the walk-in health center at various hands-on stations and information booths.

Museum and city tour
Karlsruhe - what kind of city is it? The Badisches Landesmuseum welcomes international students to the museum near the market! Here you will learn about the city of Karlsruhe and Art Nouveau with its innovative design language. In the second part of the event, we will leave the museum and use our new app "Ping! - Your date with democracy" to discover important places in the city center together.

Studying with a Plan: What You Need to Know at KIT
Every course of study has certain rules. Knowing them can be very helpful, for example, to find the right lectures. Or it is important if your studies don’t go the way you want.
This workshop is also about terms that are important in connection with studying. Besides this we will also show you where to get help with certain topics.

Welcome event
At the welcome event you can expect German and English presentations with detailed information from various departments of the International Students Office and the Central Student Advisory Service (ZSB). Following this, we invite you to a champagne reception in the Foyer in front of the new chemistry lecture hall in building 30.46, where various organizational units of KIT will present themselves at information stands. Afterwards, the Campus Rally will take place.

Workshop: Finding Accommodation
The International Student Center of Studierendenwerk Karlsruhe offers a workshop regarding the challenge „How to a find a room in Karlsruhe?“. Here all questions regarding finding accommodation in Karlsruhe will be answered in English.
