City and Campus Rallies

The new semester is just around the corner. Many new students are moving to Karlsruhe to start their studies. Therefore, we offer two rallies. These rallies are filled with very fun activities that you can complete with an assigned partner.

It's never too late to learn new things about where you study. This will give you the best opportunity to do so and expand your own circle of friends.

  • The city rally takes place on October 13th. Meeting point is the main entrance of the Studentenhaus (Build. 01.12)
  • The campus rally takes place on October 20th. Meeting point is the main entrance of the Tulla lecture hall (Build. 11.40).

City tour colonial traces in Karlsruhe

You are new in Karlsruhe and don't know much of the city yet? You are interested in getting to know your new home from another perspective? Do you think it's important to take a critical look at the past? Then the city tour "Colonial Traces in Karlsruhe" is certainly the right thing for you!

For the city of Karlsruhe as well as for KIT, a responsible approach to history and the reappraisal of injustice, which still manifests itself in the form of discrimination in society today, are very important. The city of Karlsruhe is currently developing an action plan against discrimination and racism and would like to involve all citizens in this issue. We as KIT would also like to make a contribution and therefore offer this very interesting and varied city tour. It is offered by Nora Häuser, who wrote her master thesis about colonial traces in Karlsruhe.

This workshop is also about terms that are important in connection with studying. I will also show you where to get help with certain topics.
