Studying with a Plan: What You Need to Know at KIT

Every degree program has certain rules. Being familiar with them can be very helpful, for example, in finding the right lectures. Or it can be important if your studies are not going as you had hoped.

This workshop consists of three parts:

In the first part, you will learn the basics of studying at KIT:

-    What does KIT require in order for you to receive a bachelor's or master's degree?

-    What is KIT's role in this?

-    At what points in your studies might it become difficult to continue studying? So what should you pay attention to?

In the second part, you will learn specifically how you can use these regulations to create your timetable. A student will explain the university's own Campus Management Systems and Ilias programs, which you can use together with the module handbook to organize your studies. The student will also inform you

-    what you need to pay attention to and

-    where you are free to make your own decisions.

Here you can also share your experiences with each other. We will help you with specific cases.

In the third part, we would like to draw your attention to important places at KIT where you can get various kinds of help with your studies.

The event will be held in English and, if necessary, in German.

Location: Adenauerring 2, Building 50.20, Room 003
