The International Students Office (IStO) welcomes all international students, exchange students and temporary students.

Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is "The Research University in the Helmholtz Association". As the only German university of excellence with national large-scale research, we offer our students unique teaching and learning conditions. The beginning of KIT dates back to 1825. KIT got its present form when the Universität Karlsruhe (TH) and the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe merged in 2009. There has only been one such merger in Germany so far.
We at the International Students Office are pleased that you are interested in studying at KIT or that you are already studying with us and would like to get in touch with us.

Our three teams will help you with your questions:

Admissions Team

The Admissions Team helps all international students with questions regarding application, admission and enrollment.

Team Welcome and Integration (W&I)

We at Team Welcome and Integration (W&I) offer you different support services and information. We would like to make it easier for you to integrate at KIT and at your place of residence. Please do not hesitate to ask us!
