Student Team
The Student Team at KIT supports international prospective students and current students — whether or not they have a refugee background — by providing tailored information about daily student life and social integration programs.
The team offers a strong network and assistance in difficult situations. It advocates for a culture of diversity.

Study Start & Preparation:
- Start of Studies for Internationals: welcome events and workshops
- guides, checklists, and consolidated information for your preparation
- video clips and podcasts for a smooth start to your studies
Advising & Orientation at the International Student Hub regarding:
- general questions about studying at KIT and campus life
- general questions about living in Germany and daily life in Karlsruhe
- issues related to residency status, financing your studies, and dealing with difficulties and problems
- workshops and information sessions on topics relevant to your studies and daily life
- individual counseling in exceptional and emergency situations
Engagement & Funding Opportunities:
- I Volunteer ∂ international KIT: volunteering opportunities for international students
- coordination of the DAAD Award for international students
- awarding of graduation grants
- Knowledge of Germany Certificate as an additional qualification
