Events and Office Hours
For initial information, we recommend that you first review the information on our website and then attend one of our information sessions. There, we’ll provide you with a general overview and take the time to answer your questions.
For any additional questions that may arise later, we offer email support and consultation hours. During consultation hours, you can ask questions that come up while you’re preparing your application materials - or simply listen in on others’ discussions.
At the Overseas Talks, you can meet students who have already returned from their exchange semester or year. Come to these events to get a sense of a destination country or university, learn from the experiences of former exchange program participants, or ask them questions yourself.

Informational Events
Our informational events provide an overview of the IStO’s overseas exchange programs: They address general questions about the programs and their respective requirements, as well as details on the application process and how to best prepare.
We offer information sessions approximately once a month during the semester - sometimes as online webinars, sometimes in person.
To participate in the online sessions, access the “Study Abroad Information Sessions” course room in ILIAS. Please select the corresponding folder “Overseas Information Sessions.” Registration is not required.
Please review the information on our website beforehand - during the course, we’ll set aside time to answer your questions.

Overseas Talks
Students who have studied abroad will share stories about their daily university life at various partner institutions around the world and offer helpful tips for all students interested in spending a semester abroad. Everyone is warmly invited!
