Preparation
The planning of your studies at KIT optimally should start about two years in advance. First of all, you should consider what courses you would like to major in. You can apply approximately 6 months before the start of your studies. At the same time, if not already done, you should start looking for opportunities to finance your studies.
Six months ahead of your arrival in Germany, but only after getting a positive answer of admission from the Admissions Office of KIT, you should obtain the proper visa, find a place to live and acquire proper insurance.

Entrance in Germany of international third countries students and researchersUpon request, KIT students can obtain a certificate of presence from their admissions official for visa applications or entry to Germany.
