The “International Alumni Week 2025” brings together international alumni and research alumni from KIT and the University of Stuttgart. Participants will engage in a week full of exchange, inspiration, and innovation on key future topics: sustainable mobility, digital transformation, and livable cities. The program features inspiring keynotes, discussions, interactive CoLabs, lab tours, excursions, and cultural events. Exclusive highlights include access to the KIT Science Week as part of KIT’s 200th anniversary and exchanges with the InnovationCampus Future Mobility (ICM). The event takes place from October 12th to 18th and concludes with a farewell lunch in Stuttgart at 1:00 PM.

Climate change is here and cities must act. How can we make urban spaces more resilient, greener, and more livable together?
The event “Positive Infrastructures - Nature-Based Approaches for Water-Sensitive Urban Development” explores how blue-green infrastructures and de-sealing concepts can serve as responses to climate change -and how cities, science, and citizens are collaborating to make it happen.

Do you want to learn more about training and studying at KIT? The KIT International Students Office offers an information event on how you can start your training or studies at KIT, followed by a 'Speed Date a Friend' organized by Cola Taxi Okay. Food and drinks will be served. Participate in this event, enjoy entertaining activities, and meet new friends. The discussion and activities will take place in both English and German.

Citizen Science connects research and society to collectively address global challenges. In this interactive workshop, experts from Spain and Denmark -Josep Perelló (University of Barcelona), Anne Kathrine Overgaard, and Thomas Kaarsted (University of Southern Denmark) - provide practical insights into the implementation of citizen science projects. Participants will learn how citizen science can be successfully integrated into EU funding applications, discuss project ideas using the CoAct toolkit, and discover best practices for cross-sector collaboration. The workshop is aimed at anyone who wants to start or further develop citizen science initiatives.

In 20-minute consultation sessions, Citizen Science experts Josep Perelló (University of Barcelona), Anne Kathrine Overgaard and Thomas Kaarsted (University of Southern Denmark) will give you personalized feedback on your idea.
 
Afterwards, explore exciting regional Citizen Science projects at the MobiLab – right in the heart of the city, in front of the Natural History Museum.
 
This session builds on the EPICUR Citizen Science Workshop offered on the morning of October 17 but may also be booked separately.

The German-French blog project “Voices Against Racism and Populism” is aimed at students from the Eucor universities. Between October 22 and December 15, 2025, participants will create their own journalistic texts or films in editorial teams, supported by young journalists and a filmmaker. The free program includes online workshops on populism and racism as well as in-person meetings in Freiburg. The registration deadline is October 15, 2025. The event will take place from October 22, 2025, to December 15, 2025.

The so-called “Walk to Karlsruhe” has become almost proverbial – after all, Karlsruhe is home to Germany’s most important courts: the Federal Constitutional Court, the Federal Court of Justice, and the Federal Prosecutor’s Office.
This 2.5-hour guided tour presents these institutions in a way that is easy to understand for non-lawyers and connects them to current developments. You will also gain insights into crime scenes and offenders, while learning about the city’s founding history in connection with the topic of law.
Please note: There are no interior visits of the buildings as part of this tour.
