Get to know the legal framework of working from a representative of Karlsruhe immigration office and the social security requirements from a representative of a health insurance company (Krankenkasse). Experience how KIT's career service is able to assist you in finding internships and student jobs.
 
Note: We are looking for students who would like to share their experiences with other students!

Students report on their university life at various partner universities worldwide after their stay abroad and give helpful tips for all students who are aiming for a semester abroad overseas. Everyone is warmly invited!

ISRT: “Fit for exams and Preparing to return Home"- will address important information regarding exams and returning home after studying at KIT.
 
You should attend, if you are an international student at the KIT Department of Informatics.
 
Vital information and tips regarding registration, preparation and taking exams in this semester will be addressed. In addition there will be critical information for exchange students who are completing their studies at the end of this semester.

There will be several points during the workshop to ask questions as well as at the end to talk with the peers and ISS Adviser.

Studying abroad can be exciting, but it can also come with challenges. This workshop series offers a supportive space for international Bachelor’s and Master’s students from KIT and Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences to connect, share experiences and learn from each other.
 
Together, we will reflect on student life, exchange practical tips and explore resources that support your well-being during your studies.
 
The sessions are guided by a professional coach, who will introduce helpful self-care strategies and practical tools to manage stress, strengthen resilience and maintain balance in everyday student life.
A chance to connect with fellow international students, reflect on your experiences and take care of your well-being.
 
Sessions are held in English and participation is free of charge.

Do you want to apply for a job or internship in Germany and don't know exactly what to include in your documents? Or have you already created your application documents and want to give them the finishing touches? In this presentation you will find out, among other things
 
∎ whether it is a good idea to write your CV on one page
∎ what recruiters want to read in your cover letter
∎ how to optimise your CV, cover letter and other application documents
∎ How to find your way around the German labour market and what special features you should be aware of
∎ where you can search specifically for jobs - from online job boards and career networks to company websites and other, less well-known options
 
We will then discuss your individual questions! At the end of the training, you will not only know what really matters in your application documents and how to make them convincing, but also how to approach your entry into the German labour market strategically and search specifically for suitable jobs.
 
On 15 July 2025, we will also be offering the opportunity to have your application documents checked individually online in the second, optional part of the training. Take the opportunity to receive personal feedback!

Wir bieten während der Vorlesungszeit ungefähr monatlich Infoveranstaltungen an - mal als Online Webinare, mal in Präsenz.
