Description
With the FA(ST)2Africa short-term scholarships, KIT underscores its strong commitment to expanding strategic partnerships with the African continent. The program targets international researchers as well as administrative staff from universities and other relevant institutions. It enables KIT members to invite excellent researchers or administrative personnel from Sub-Saharan Africa to Karlsruhe for stays of one to three months.

FAQ
Administrative staff may also be invited if they are interested in supporting KIT in expanding strategic partnerships with institutions in Africa.
The following groups can be nominated:

Postdoctoral researchers with an outstanding academic profile and proven experience in international cooperation.

Administrative staff whose current position and local networks are relevant for strengthening partnerships with Africa.
Additional requirements:

A minimum of five years of residence in a Sub-Saharan African country
-
No permanent employment contract in Germany at the time of selection
Direct applications from individuals in Africa are not possible.

Prospects for sustainable cooperation
Up to eight scholarships can be awarded:

For researchers: 1 to 3 months

For administrative staff: 1 to 2 weeks
