Starting your studies at KIT comes with many new opportunities and challenges, including finding ways to finance your studies and gain experience alongside your academic coursework. If you are new to KIT, you may be unsure which jobs are available to international students, where to find them, and how to decide which opportunities are right for you.

From student assistant (HiWi) and tutoring positions at KIT to part-time jobs, internships, and working student roles, there are many ways to earn money, develop valuable skills, and build professional experience during your studies. This session will help you understand your options and take your first steps with confidence.

In this infosession, you will:

  • explore different opportunities to earn money, gain experience, and build your professional profile during your studies
  • learn where to find HiWi-Jobs, internships, working student positions, and other opportunities at KIT and beyond
  • understand how recruitment and application practices in Germany differ from those in other countries
  • discover how early work experience and the support services of the KIT Career Service can contribute to your long-term career success in Germany

By the end of the session, you will have a clearer picture of how to combine studying, working, and career development in Germany and be able to identify the opportunities that best fit your goals and current stage of studies.

This session will be lead by Julia Neer, career orientation expert, trainer and systemic coach at the KIT Career Service.

Target group: international students new at KIT

This event will take place in English and in person.
