Event Calendar

Every degree program has certain rules. Being familiar with them can be very helpful, for example, in finding the right lectures. Or it can be important if your studies are not going as you had hoped.
 
This workshop consists of three parts:
In the first part, you will learn the basics of studying at KIT:
What does KIT require in order for you to receive a bachelor's or master's degree? What is KIT's role in this? At what points in your studies might it become difficult to continue studying? So what should you pay attention to?  
In the second part, you will learn specifically how you can use these regulations to create your timetable. A student will explain the university's own Campus Management Systems and Ilias programs, which you can use together with the module handbook to organize your studies. The student will also inform you
what you need to pay attention to and where you are free to make your own decisions. Here you can also share your experiences with each other. We will help you with specific cases.
 
In the third part, we would like to draw your attention to important places at KIT where you can get various kinds of help with your studies.
 
The event will be held in English and, if necessary, in German.

The internet offers us numerous advantages: online banking, communication, entertainment, information retrieval, and much more. But there is also a dark side: criminals are after our data and our money. Whether fake shops, classified ad platforms, phishing, dubious job offers, or fraudulent investment schemes - unfortunately, there are many ways to become a victim of crime online. Those who stay informed, understand the different types of threats, and take appropriate security precautions are well prepared and can protect themselves from dangers and navigate the digital space safely.

This workshop provides essential everyday knowledge about life in Germany—such as shopping, transportation, waste separation, and cultural etiquette—to help international students quickly adapt to daily life.

This workshop offers international students an introduction to housing in Germany. It covers key terminology and required documents for finding accommodation, as well as tenants’ rights and responsibilities. In addition, participants will learn essential housing rules and practical everyday tips to help them start living in their first home in Germany with confidence and good preparation.

Karlsruhe - what kind of city is it? The Badisches Landesmuseum welcomes international students to the museum near the market! Here you will learn about the city of Karlsruhe and Art Nouveau with its innovative design language. In the second part of the event, we will leave the museum and use our new app "Ping! - Your date with democracy" to discover important places in the city center together.
 
Note: The tour is divided into two parts. The first part includes a museum tour in German, and the second part is a city tour in English.

From June 22–27, 2026, Tour Eucor invites you to a five-day cycling trip through the Upper Rhine region, connecting all five Eucor universities. The tour is open to all cycling enthusiasts who wish to explore new cities. Starting and ending in Karlsruhe, the route includes stops in Strasbourg, Mulhouse, Basel, and Freiburg. Evening programs will further enrich the experience. Registration is open until February 21, 2026.
