Dialogue Forum: Racism in Higher Education - Understanding Structural Issues, Shaping Change
TRIANGEL
Kaiserstraße 89 …

How does racism manifest at universities? Where do structural barriers lie – and what can we do about them?
Racism in higher education is not a marginal issue. We invite you to an open dialogue forum where we will discuss structural challenges and explore possible measures. Together with students and staff from universities, we want to share perspectives, identify problems, and initiate change.
Join our dialogue forum, exchange ideas, and bring your experiences, questions, and thoughts.

Dr. Andrea Acle-Kreysing, Research Associate at KIT
Oya Ibrahim, Deputy Lecturer at the Institute for Islamic Theology and Religious Education at the University of Education Karlsruhe

All about the BlackForest - Excursion to the open-air museum Vogtsbauernhof
Culture / Fun
meeting point: main train station Karlsruhe
destination: Vogtsbauernhof Gutach
Annette Seiter, KIT, INTL IStO International Buddy Program

All participants of the KIT International Buddy Program are invited
to come on this trip, and discover the rural history and culture of the BlackForest.

Vogtsbauernhof is an open-air museum and cultural hub which preserves traditional buildings and crafts, offering an authentic and engaging look into regional life of the past and present.

After a guided tour, during which we experience the local way of life of 200 years back,
we enjoy a hands-on workshop in traditional baking,
and then make a meal of consuming the delicious product, some rustic version of the famous regional Flammkuchen.

For those who afterwards feel the need to move, there is a summer toboggan run, just round the corner. Others might prefer to sit and taste the extraordinarily luscious BlackForest Gateau in the museum's café.
