From 7 to 15 September 2024, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) was represented at the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair.
As part of the communication of the latest developments of the EPICUR alliance, KIT, together with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), presented the results of a study on regional labour market needs and provided insights into the research area of lifelong learning. There was also a lively exchange on the various EPICUR activities at the fair.

Submit your project for the Behavior Change Challenge by July 4, 2025 and show how you can motivate others to behave more sustainably - whether by using less paper, saving electricity or creatively avoiding waste. The best ideas will be celebrated at the climate conference in Alsion in September and the names of the winners will be engraved on a plaque next to the Alsion apple tree.

In the lecture series on “Transformative Cities” on Tuesday, 3 June 2025 at 11.30 a.m., Professors Aikaterini Tsikaloudaki and Theodoros Theodosiou explore the environmental footprint of the building sector, from early settlements to modern structures. The course highlights ways to improve energy efficiency and climate neutrality in buildings.The lecture series is part of the EPICUR hubs and will take place at KIT in a hybrid format, whereby participants from partner universities can take part online. The Zoom link will be provided after registration.

How can research be shaped together with society? The second KIT Citizen Science Network Meeting on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 4:30 p.m. will focus on the exchange of existing projects, best practices and visions for the future. All interested researchers and employees are invited. Registration is required by June 18, 2025 and admission is free.
