The French Consul General Gaël de Maisonneuve visited the KIT on 23.02.2023. He was accompanied by his colleague Hervé Martin, Attaché for Science and Higher Education Cooperation for Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. Mr. de Maisonneuve and Mr. Martin visited not only the Competence Center for Cybersecurity KASTEL SRL, they got also a good overview about Franco-German projects and cooperations at KIT in the fields of renewable energy, quantum science, artificial intelligence and environmental science.

Mr de Maisonneuve took over the function from Catherine Weber in September last year. His inaugural visit to KIT took place within the anniversary year of the Elysée Treaty, which celebrates 60 years of Franco-German friendship. The anniversary year is being celebrated at KIT with the motto “60 years- 60 events”. All other Franco-German events can be found in the INTL event calendar.
