Citizen Science connects research and society to collectively address global challenges. In this interactive workshop, experts from Spain and Denmark -Josep Perelló (University of Barcelona), Anne Kathrine Overgaard, and Thomas Kaarsted (University of Southern Denmark) - provide practical insights into the implementation of citizen science projects. Participants will learn how citizen science can be successfully integrated into EU funding applications, discuss project ideas using the CoAct toolkit, and discover best practices for cross-sector collaboration. The workshop is aimed at anyone who wants to start or further develop citizen science initiatives.

Afterwards, explore exciting regional Citizen Science projects at the MobiLab – right in the heart of the city, in front of the Natural History Museum.
 
This session builds on the EPICUR Citizen Science Workshop offered on the morning of October 17 but may also be booked separately.

IScO’s Excursion: “In the Name of the People – Karlsruhe Has Spoken”

The so-called “Walk to Karlsruhe” has become almost proverbial – after all, Karlsruhe is home to Germany’s most important courts: the Federal Constitutional Court, the Federal Court of Justice, and the Federal Prosecutor’s Office.
This 2.5-hour guided tour presents these institutions in a way that is easy to understand for non-lawyers and connects them to current developments. You will also gain insights into crime scenes and offenders, while learning about the city’s founding history in connection with the topic of law.
Please note: There are no interior visits of the buildings as part of this tour.
