As part of the Ukrainian Week in Germany, the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies, in cooperation with KIT, invites interested participants to a public event on 15 October 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Theodor Rehbock Seminar Room (HS59), Building 10.81.

Held in English under the title “Resilience and Transformation in Times of War: Society, Culture, Science and Academic Cooperation”, the event explores the impact of the war on Ukrainian society, culture, and science, as well as the role of international academic cooperation.

The programme includes presentations on the work of the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies, insights into KIT’s collaborations with Ukrainian universities and research institutions, and a panel discussion entitled “Women in War: Culture, Resilience and the Transformation of Ukrainian Society.” The discussion will focus on the role of women in Ukraine’s social and cultural transformation during wartime and on German-Ukrainian academic cooperation.

The event is open to members of the academic community and the public. Admission is free.
