International Cooperation and Projects (ICoP)

The International Cooperation and Projects (ICoP) department is the central point of contact for information relating to the international relations of KIT and its employees. Our tasks include providing information and advice on establishing, maintaining, and shaping international cooperation, as well as supporting our partners from abroad in their contact with all levels of KIT.

We provide KIT employees with information and analyses on KIT's partner regions and countries. In addition, we advise on the conclusion of international cooperation agreements and coordinate the process internally.

International guests and networks

  • Coordination and support for international delegations
  • Letters of invitiation for international guests
  • Networking in an international environment (e.g., International Working Group of the Helmholtz Association of German Research centers, international activities of TU9, European CLUSTER network, German-Japanese HeKKSaGOn network)

Country and regional expertise

  • Support for international cooperation and projects
  • Preparation, drafting, renewal and extension of cooperation agreements and MoUs in coordination with DE Legal Affairs and DE Higher Education Law and Academic Affairs
  • Establishing contacts
  • Support in initiating fact-finding missions
  • Monitoring and analysis of research and education policy activities in key regions
  • Development and support fort he implementation of KIT’s internationalization strategy
