"Good Morning, Karlsruhe" offers international academics and researchers a warm, personal point of contact at KIT. It is an opportunity to meet the IWO team in person, ask questions, gain orientation on institutional and practical matters, and connect with fellow international scholars in an informal and welcoming setting.

The Eucor Running & Hiking Challenge 2026 unites the university community through cross-border running and hiking experiences across three historic peaks in France, Switzerland, and Germany. The official community events will take place on June 13, July 4, and September 26, 2026.

The International Buddy Program invites you to the International Café – a monthly event where you can meet new people, make international friendships, and discover different cultures in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Learn more about opportunities in Karlsruhe and throughout Germany while enjoying a pleasant evening with other students.
The House of Competence (HoC) and the Studierendenwerk Karlsruhe cooperate in this event and will be present with an information table to answer your questions and assist you.
Join our International Café on every first Wednesday of the month.

The Eucor Science Slam offers early-career researchers the opportunity to creatively present their research on stage through storytelling and performance workshops. The event series includes dates in Karlsruhe, Strasbourg, and Freiburg, followed by a grand finale on December 1, 2026.

KIT welcomes international students from 14:00 hrs onward with informative presentations in German and English. From 15:30 hrs to 16:30 hrs, the Student Team of International Welcome Office (IWO) invites attendees to a reception with drinks, where various units of KIT and the Studierendenwerk Karlsruhe will present themselves at information booths and be available for questions. This will be followed by the Campus Rally.
 
About Studienstart International:
The Student Team of International Welcome Office (IWO) warmly welcomes you to KIT. We offer various welcome and information events at the beginning of both the winter and summer semesters. Here, you will have the opportunity to make your first contacts with other students and receive important information. For international students arriving late, we offer additional workshops.
