ISRT: Kicking Your studies off: Answers and Advise from Adisors and Mentors: What you need to do in the first few weeks

For all INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS in first semester of their studies in the KIT Department of Informatics, it is important to participate in this event

The advising team will answer questions and give advice about what you need to do in the first few weeks of your studies: The primarily focus will be:
     ∎ Admitted but not here yet
     ∎ Arrived and how to organizing your studies effectively and Module selection
            ∎ CAS, ILIAS and Wiwi-Portal
            ∎ How to register for Tutorials if you missed the registration period
            ∎ University resources
     ∎ Life in Karlsruhe and KIT
     ∎ German language and cultural adjustment
     ∎ Learning Agreements (for Exchange students)

The workshop will be held in englisch. You can also ask questions in German or English.

Who is it for? 
 International students (both degree seeking and exchange) enrolled in Bachelor or master program in the KIT Department of Informatics.  

*ISRT (International Student Roundtable) is for all international students enrolled in KIT Department of Informatics. Each ISRT addresses important information for international students at relevant points within the semester. Our goal is that you get off to a good start and are able to navigate your studies and student life.
The workshops are held in english, but you can ask questions in english or german.

Theater Afternoon in Strasbourg on Migration and Equality
Strasbourg

On April 27, 2026, a theater afternoon will be held in Strasbourg for students from Karlsruhe, Freiburg, and Basel, dedicated to the themes of migration and diversity. The program includes a performance, a discussion with the director, and an arts-oriented campus tour. A French proficiency level of at least B1 is required. Participants benefit from travel cost reimbursement and will receive the "Carte Culture" for discounted access to cultural events.

This Info²  Workshop provides students with an overview about the different opportunities to go abroad.  Representitives from various international programs will provide information, inorder that you can evaluate what prospects are available and what you may be interested in.

The primarily focus is for students seeking information regarding:
∎ Overseas Study Abroad 
∎ ERASMUS+ &SEMP (there will be no"Restplätze" offered for SS 27)
∎ Application for the *academic year 2027/28 (WS 27/28 and SS 28)
∎ Application procedure and general conditions
 
The Workshop will be held in German. There will also be a Q&A round, where you ask questions in English or German
 
This Workshop is relevant for all students in the KIT Department of Informatics who are pursuing a KIT degree. All students may participate in the program regardless of EU nationality.
