Dr. Roxane Soergel
Everyone, no matter their individual background, holds unconscious beliefs. These primarily serve as a filter and categorization to the magnitude of information we receive every moment. Consequently, we use mental shortcuts to complete missing information about the world around us, also about our colleagues, superiors or employees. Within the workshop we will explore how these cognitive distortions affect our actions and what possibilities there are to overcome unconscious biases and improve our daily interactions.
The workshop language is German.

ZKM: Zentrum für Kunst und Medien | Karlsruhe
The main aim of the speed-dating format is to get into conversation with new people, to look beyond one's own nose and to get to know new perspectives - by asking a variety of questions directly at the artworks in the ZKM exhibitions. Afterwards there is always a get-together with lemonade and chips (or coffee and cake), where the conversations can continue. :)
The format is designed for 20 people, so that internationals can get to know each other, but also make new contacts with people who have been living in Karlsruhe for a while.
Please register at: speeddating@zkm.de
The event is organised by the International Buddy Program in cooperation with ZKM: Center for Art and Media | Karlsruhe.
