The Humboldt Foundation can support you and your team too! 

The program for the 21st Humboldt-Tag at KIT is aimed at researchers, group leaders as well as professors and demonstrates how the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s funding opportunities can be used to attract international scientific talent to KIT, initiate research collaborations, and build long-term international networks.
 
What to expect:

Keynote Address: Humboldt Professor Dr. Christopher Barner-Kowollik will discuss international scientific career paths and the importance of transnational research networks.

International Talent Recruitment: Dr. Markus Zanner, Secretary General of the Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation, will present the Foundation’s funding programs. Learn how you can attract outstanding early-career researchers from abroad for research stays at your institute or research group, or nominate distinguished and established researchers for one of the prestigious Humboldt awards. The session will also introduce the Foundation’s new Research Professorships program.

Panel Discussion: “Challenging Times, Changing Worlds: Science, AI, Migration, and Democratic Resilience”: Together, Humboldt Professor Dr. Markus Klute, Dr. Markus Zanner, Secretary General of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, and other distinguished experts will explore the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing world. 

Firsthand Experience: Connect with Humboldt Fellows and award recipients, and gain fascinating insights through the Lightning Talks into the research they are currently conducting at KIT as part of their Humboldt fellowship.

The new semester is just around the corner. Many new students are moving to Karlsruhe to start their studies. Therefore, we offer a campus rally, filled with fun activities that you can complete within your group. 
 
It's never too late to learn new things about where you study. This will give you the best opportunity to do so and expand your own circle of friends.

The Student Team of International Welcome Office (IWO) warmly welcomes you to KIT. We offer various welcome and information events at the beginning of both the winter and summer semesters. Here, you will have the opportunity to make your first contacts with other students and receive important information. For international students arriving late, we offer additional workshops.

Discover the world of autonomous mobility and teach your own Duckietown robot how to drive: This exciting collaboration between the Institute for Robotics and Autonomous Systems (IRAS) at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA) and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) offers hands-on insight into robotics and autonomous vehicles. 
 
The Duckietown workshop is designed for middle and high school students interested in robotics, programming, and autonomous systems. During this interactive morning session, participants will learn how autonomous vehicles perceive their surroundings and make decisions on their own. They will program real Duckietown robots and try out innovative robotics applications firsthand.
 
 
 
 

The International Buddy Program invites you to the International Café – a monthly event where you can meet new people, make international friendships, and discover different cultures in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Learn more about opportunities in Karlsruhe and throughout Germany while enjoying a pleasant evening with other students.
The House of Competence (HoC) and the Studierendenwerk Karlsruhe cooperate in this event and will be present with an information table to answer your questions and assist you.
Join our International Café on every first Wednesday of the month.
Please note that registration on ILIAS is required for this event! 

This Info² session provides students with an overview about the different opportunities to go abroad.  Representitives from various international programs will provide information, in order that you can evaluate what prospects are available, what you may be interested in, and what you need to do.
This Workshop is relevant for all degree seeking students in the KIT Department of Informatics who are pursuing a KIT degree. All students may participate in the program regardless of EU nationality.
 
This primary focus study abroad information for students who wish to apply for the academic year 2027/28  (Winter Semester 27/28 and Summer Semester 28):
 
An overview of the various programs offered, including: Doppelmaster-Program Informatik  Epicur  Eucor  *Overseas Study Abroad Programs (DAAD, Freemover, ....)   ERASMUS+ &SEMP  Application procedure and general conditions  
The session will be held in English. There will also be a Q&A round, where you ask questions in English or German.
