The Eucor Running & Hiking Challenge 2026 unites the university community through cross-border running and hiking experiences across three historic peaks in France, Switzerland, and Germany. The official community events will take place on June 13, July 4, and September 26, 2026. 

Better in German? The International Scholars and Welcome Office (IScO) offers a new format for international researchers with the German Round. 
Starting Wednesday, June 3, 2026, Maike Schröder – an experienced translator at KIT – will host an open discussion round for anyone who already has basic knowledge of German but finds too few opportunities to speak. 
The concept is simple: no rules, no fees, no stress. In a relaxed atmosphere, participants can converse with each other in German and receive support if needed. 
Date: Every Wednesday in July, 5:00–6:00 PM
All interested parties – regardless of language level – are warmly welcome.
Just come by and join in!

If you are an international Students in the KIT Department of Informatics who will be starting in the coming semester this online Pre-Arrival Orientation will provide vital information regarding our department, KIT and living in Karlsruhe. It is also an opportunity to ask questions you may have.

We want you to be prepared and get off to a good start, therefore we will cover topics including:

The workshop will be held in English, but you can ask questions in either German or English.
 
We want the international students to be well informed and have information that will help navigate their start to their studies and life in Karlsruhe. Therefore make sure to take part in this online Pre-Arrival Orientation.

This two-day workshop on July 17 and July 24, 2026, focuses on translating international experiences into professional assets while exploring concepts like reverse culture shock and transculturality. Participants will develop small projects to assist others with intercultural transitions and can earn 1-2 CP for their active involvement.

The info session aims to provide basic knowledge for students that are interested in going abroad with Erasmus+ and have not applied yet.

Unsere Infoveranstaltungen geben Ihnen einen Überblick über die Übersee-Austauschprogramme des IStO: Geklärt werden allgemeine Fragen zu den Programmen und den jeweiligen Voraussetzungen, Details über das Bewerbungsverfahren und die optimale Vorbereitung.
