"Good Morning, Karlsruhe" offers international academics and researchers a warm, personal point of contact at KIT. It is an opportunity to meet the IScO team in person, ask questions, gain orientation on institutional and practical matters, and connect with fellow international scholars in an informal and welcoming setting.

Better in German? The International Scholars and Welcome Office (IScO) offers a new format for international researchers with the German Round. 
Starting Wednesday, June 3, 2026, Maike Schröder – an experienced translator at KIT – will host an open discussion round for anyone who already has basic knowledge of German but finds too few opportunities to speak. 
The concept is simple: no rules, no fees, no stress. In a relaxed atmosphere, participants can converse with each other in German and receive support if needed. 
Date: Every Wednesday in July, 5:00–6:00 PM
All interested parties – regardless of language level – are warmly welcome.

Unsere Infoveranstaltungen geben Ihnen einen Überblick über die Übersee-Austauschprogramme des IStO: Geklärt werden allgemeine Fragen zu den Programmen und den jeweiligen Voraussetzungen, Details über das Bewerbungsverfahren und die optimale Vorbereitung. 
Wir bieten während der Vorlesungszeit ungefähr monatlich Infoveranstaltungen an - mal als Online Webinare, mal in Präsenz.
 
Die Teilnahme an den Online-Terminen erfolgt über den Kursraum "Infoveranstaltungen Auslandsstudium" in ILIAS. Wählen Sie bitte den entsprechenden Ordner "Infoveranstaltungen Übersee". Eine Anmeldung ist nicht notwendig.

The ITI IRMIA++ Summer School will take place from August 31 to September 4, 2026, in Strasbourg, providing an introduction to proof assistants and their applications for students in mathematics, physics, and computer science. Free, mandatory registration for the event is open until July 10, 2026.

The Eucor Science Slam offers early-career researchers the opportunity to creatively present their research on stage through storytelling and performance workshops. The event series includes dates in Karlsruhe, Strasbourg, and Freiburg, followed by a grand finale on December 1, 2026.

The Eucor Running & Hiking Challenge 2026 unites the university community through cross-border running and hiking experiences across three historic peaks in France, Switzerland, and Germany. The official community events will take place on June 13, July 4, and September 26, 2026.
