Ontario-Baden-Württemberg Faculty Mobility Program

Research stays under the Baden-Württemberg State Program with Ontario, Canada

The Ontario-Baden-Württemberg Faculty Mobility Program is designed to strengthen academic and research exchange as part of Baden-Württemberg’s state-level program with Ontario. It thus represents the second pillar of the partnership, alongside student exchange. Joint research projects can also deepen cooperation over the long term and help build a growing network. Through deeper networking among researchers and faculty members, students can also be encouraged to participate in future exchange programs.

 

1. Target Group
  • Experienced researchers with a clearly defined, independent academic profile,
  • (Junior) professors, leaders of early-career research groups, postdocs, or individuals who have completed their doctorate
  • Employment at a university in Baden-Württemberg through the end of the requested stay period
  • All disciplines.

 

2. Program Overview
  • Funding for research stays of one to four months at a partner university in Ontario, Canada,
  • 1,200 euros per month plus a one-time travel allowance of 1,200.00 euros,
  • At least one public lecture at the host university is required,
  • To a limited extent, teaching duties may be undertaken at the host university. 
  • The research stay must begin and, if possible, end within the calendar year following the application deadline. 

 

3. Application
  • Project description,
  • an invitation letter describing the joint research project on the one hand and the institutional placement/integration of the visiting professor on the other,
  • Curriculum Vitae.
