"Researcher Mobility Program" of the State of Baden-Württemberg – University of Massachusetts

As part of the successful partnership between Baden-Württemberg and the University of Massachusetts, the focus will be placed more strongly on collaboration among researchers. For the calendar year 2026, the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research, and the Arts is therefore offering fellowships for visits to UMass campuses, with the aim of initiating new collaborations and strengthening existing ones.

Researchers at the nine research universities in Baden-Württemberg who are interested in closer collaboration with partners at UMass and wish to actively participate in the state program are eligible to apply for this funding. To enhance the visibility of the state program, it is particularly desirable for the visit program to also include students and/or doctoral researchers (e.g., lectures, workshops, etc.).
