After completing her PhD in Chemistry in Dijon (F) and Manchester (GB) Manuella Werp undertook a postdoctoral position at the Max Planck Institute in Mülheim an der Ruhr (D). She then served as Head of the Analytical Laboratory at SGL Carbon in Bonn (D). She has been working at the Karlsruhe Research Center and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) since 2004 first as Innovation Manager, and was head of synchrotron Industry Office before joining International Affairs. A French native speaker, she holds both French and German citizenship.
