Baden Wuerttemberg Funds for persecuted scientists (Website in German only)
- launched by the Ministry of Science, together with the renowned Institute of International Education and the Baden-Wuerttemberg Foundation.
- The aim of the program: to enable persecuted scientists to pursue their research work at a university in Baden-Württemberg, regardless of their nationality or subject area.

Scholars at Risk - Germany Section
The German Section of the global Scholars at Risk Network is composed of German universities, research institutions and science organisations that campaign to support and offer sanctuary to researchers under threat as well as to protect academic freedom
Cara (Council for At-Risk Academics)
Helps academics in immediate danger and supports higher education institutions whose continuing work is at risk or compromised.
The CARe project (Career Advancement for Refugee Researchers in Europe) is a 24-month project aiming to support the integration of researchers with a refugee background into the European research labour market.
DFG - Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft
The main task of the DFG is to select the best projects by researchers at universities and research institutions and to finance these projects. The DFG facilitates the participation of scientists and academics who have fled their home countries in research projects
German Rectors’ Conference (HRK)
Universities for openness, tolerance and against xenophobia - Nationwide campaign by HRK member universities
InSPIREurope is a Europe-wide initiative to support researchers who are at risk due to discrimination, persecution, suffering or violence. Funded under the European Commission’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, the initiative is hosted at Maynooth University in Ireland and coordinated by Scholars at Risk Europe.
The PAUSE program (National program for the urgent aid and reception of scientists in exile), established on January 16, 2017, awards stimulus funding to higher education establishments and public research organizations who plan to host scientists at risk, and supports their activities.
Academics in Solidarity is a peer-mentoring program that connects exiled researchers and established scholars in Germany, Lebanon and Jordan.
