Certificate of Departure
In order to receive the erasmus funding, you have to submit the Certificate of Departure to your home university. Please upload the Certificate of Departure together with a document that confirms your departure (e.g. flight ticket, train ticket or a confirmation of the last examination date at KIT) in one PDF in Mobility Online. You can either use the template of your home university or the KIT version of the document. The documents can be signed earliest two days before your departure date.
De-registration/Disenrollment at KIT ("Exmatrikulation")
Please note that if you intend to enroll at another German university or return to KIT in the future, you will need a KIT de-registration certificate/“Exmatrikulationsbescheinigung.” Further information on de-registration/disenrollment/“Exmatrikulation” can be found at https://www.sle.kit.edu/english/imstudium/712.php.
The entire procedure can be completed online via the Campus Management Portal. It is not mandatory to complete this process before leaving KIT; however, it must be finalized while you still have access to the Campus Management Portal (up to six months after the end of your semester at KIT).
Under the "Requests" section in the Campus Management Portal you can start the de-registration process.
Once the Studierendenservice (SLE) has approved your request, you can download your de-registration certificate (“Exmatrikulationsbescheinigung”) from the "Notices Inbox" section.
For guidance, please refer to the document "How to de-register”.
If you no longer have access to the Campus Management Portal and need documents such as:
- your de-registrarion certificate ("Exmatrikulationsbescheinigung")
- ToR (Transcript of Records)/Grade Table
- or other academic records/documents,
you must request them via SLE's contact form. Please note that a service fee may apply.
City/Local de-registration at the Citizen Offices/”Bürgerbüro”
Before your departure, you should notify the local authority of your residential town that you will leave Germany. You can do this easily at the “Bürgerbüro” responsible for the district you live in.
If your accommodation is located in the city of Karlsruhe, please visit the webpage of Karlsruhe’s “Bürgerbüro” at https://web1.karlsruhe.de/service/Buergerdienste/leistung.php?id=6000874.
Detailed information about the services of Karlsruhe's public authorities can be obtained at 115, Karlsruhe's public authorities' hotline.
Transcript of Records/Grade Table
In order to transfer the credits you have achieved at KIT to your home university, you should download your Transcript of Records (ToR)/grade table from the Campus Management Portal at KIT. It can be found under “Certificates” on the left hand side of the page.
Please be aware that you can only access the Campus Management Portal up to six months after de-registering from KIT.
If you no longer have access to the Campus Management Portal, you can only get the documents (e.g. ToR and de-registration form/"Exmatrikulationbescheinigung") via Studierendenservice (SLE). To contact Studierendenservice (SLE), you can e.g. use the contact form. Please note that SLE charges a fee for this service.
If your grades have not been published completely, please contact your departmental coordinator or the examiner.
