After completing your studies, you must officially degregister as a student. On the pages of the Studierendeservice (Student's Service) there is the application for degregistration which you must complete. Please pay attention that all proofs (proof of exoneration) that you have no obligations remaining (e.g. fees at the library, International Students Office, etc.) are included in the application.
After submitting the application to the Studierendenservice (Student's Service), you will usually receive the confirmation of deregistration (Exmatrikulationsbescheinigung) by post.
