Individual Doctoral Projects at Max Planck Institutes: allows outstanding and experienced PhD students, obtained a Master’s degree equivalent to the German one, to work on a PhD project (with duration of three years) at a Mac Planck Institute. International Max Planck Research Schools (IMPRSs): allows outstanding PhD students, obtained a Master’s degree equivalent to the German one, to earn a doctorate degree (with duration of three years) at one of the 63 IMPRSs. Max Planck Grants for Advanced Postdoctoral Training: allows outstanding postdocs/junior researchers, obtained a doctoral degree and gained experience for at least two years, to adopt valuable skills while gaining new knowledge at a Max Planck Institute (with duration of two to seven years).
