At the welcome event, the International Students Office (IStO) presented information on research opportunities at KIT. The doctoral students developed a lively exchange about international research experiences.

Currently, eight KIT students are at the UNC Charlotte Energy Production & Infrastructure Center (EPIC) to complete a six-month research internship in the field of energy. The research internship in the summer semester 2019 will be announced at the beginning of October 2018 by IStO.

The Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of Baden-Württemberg, the Reinhard Frank Foundation, the Christian Bürkert Foundation and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD, funded by the German Federal Foreign Office) financially support the MINTernship program.
