University of Waterloo – Kanada

Since 1957, the University of Waterloo (UWaterloo) has been producing some of Canada's most innovative leaders and has created an outstanding educational reputation recognized around the world. UWaterloo offers a variety of programs within its six faculties – Applied Health Sciences, Arts, Engineering, Environment, Mathematics, and Science.

Queensland University of Technology - Australien

The Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is a highly successful Australian university with an applied emphasis in courses and research. While QUT is based in Brisbane, Queensland, it has a global outlook. With some 45,000 students, including 6,000 from overseas, and an annual budget of more than $800 million, QUT is positioned to grow and develop as one of Australia's leading universities.

Energy Production and Infrastructure Center, University of North Carolina at Charlotte - USA

With over 75 faculty members working in energy-related disciplines, EPIC is quickly becoming a national leader in energy research and development. Offering seven Applied Research Clusters, EPIC interdisciplinary researchers collaborate with industry and use state-of-the-art laboratories to work to solve some of today’s most difficult energy challenges.

“ No domestic internship, no matter how lucrative, could stop me from going back a second time if I had the opportunity. I returned to Charlotte not only a better engineer, but a better, more confident, and worldlier version of myself. I find it hard to put in to words the depth of experience I had with this program. The places I visited, things I did, and people I met will stay with me for the rest of my life. I could not recommend the program enough, and its organizers have my deepest gratitude.”

James Freeman, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Summer intern 2017.

“I recommend this exchange program to anyone looking to challenge themselves, learn new communication and technical skills, and work together with some really great people!”

Samual Ludwig, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Summer intern 2015

“I felt grateful that I was able to participate in the MINTernship program at KIT. It was evident that attention to detail was made when planning activities for the students. I enjoyed going on the planned excursions, seeing the research projects at other KIT campuses, and learning about German history and culture. The assigned project was challenging, so overall, it was a great learning experience technically and culturally. I also thoroughly enjoyed going to German language class to improve my fluency.”

Kristen Venditti, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Summer intern 2015
