International graduates are of high importance to the German labor market, not least due to the lack of skilled workers. The event “Start Your Career in the Karlsruhe Technology Region” is organized by KIT and the Karlsruhe Technology Region to present career opportunities in the Karlsruhe area. We will provide information on career opportunities in the region and in Germany as well as on organizational matters, such as applications for visa and work permits.
HR managers from companies in the Karlsruhe Technology Region will speak about how international graduates can prepare for their optimum entry into professions. International alumni of KIT, who are working successfully in the region after their studies, will provide first-hand experience.
Short presentations will present the Karlsruhe area as an attractive region for life and work. Services offered by KIT’s units, including the International Students Office, Career Service, Karlsruhe House of Young Scientists, and the International Scholars and Welcome Office, will be highlighted. Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, Karlshochschule International University, CyberForum e.V., and the Labor Agency Karlsruhe-Rastatt will present their services.
After the event, the experts will be available for individual conversations. A panel discussion of HR managers from companies of the Karlsruhe Technology Region and alumni will highlight interesting aspects and personal experiences.
The event will be organized by KIT’s International Scholars and Welcome Office and Career Service & Alumni in cooperation with the Welcome Center of the Karlsruhe Technology Region. It is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministries of Science, Research, and the Arts and Economic Affairs, Labor, and Tourism.
Sponsored by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism.
