Start your career in the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion

Start your Career: Event of KIT and the Karlsruhe Technology Region (TRK) informs international students, doctoral researchers, and post-docs about career options
International graduates are of enormous relevance to the German labor market, not least because of the shortage of skilled professionals. The event “Start Your Career in the Karlsruhe Technology Region” organized by KIT and TRK will provide information on career options in the Karlsruhe Technology Region, on job opportunities in Germany, and on organizational matters, such as visa applications and work permits. In addition, international alumni of KIT who have been working in the TRK after their graduation will report their experiences.
TRK will present itself as an attractive region for life and work. Various service units of KIT will introduce their offers and be pleased to give advice in personal conversations, including KIT’s International Students Office, Company and Career Service, Karlsruhe House of Young Scientists, and the International Scholars and Welcome Office. Among the TRK institutions providing information will be CyberForum e.V., the Labor Agency of Karlsruhe-Rastatt, and the Kontakstelle Frau & Beruf (women and jobs contact office).
The event will be organized by the International Affairs Service Unit and the Company and Career Service of KIT in cooperation with the Karlsruhe Technology Region. It will be funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research, and the Arts, the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor, and Housing, and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
