Due to organizational reasons we are forced to reschedule the International Scientists and Partner Lounge, it will not take place on April 28th! We will soon inform you when the new date will be rescheduled. The International Scientists and Partner Lounge is an informal get-together for researchers at KIT and their spouses or partners and young families where you will have the opportunity to meet other international and German families and share your experiences in a relaxed and fun environment. The International Scholars & Welcome Office (IScO) and the Equal Opportunities Office (ChG) sponsored via the DAAD-STIBET-program, are hosting this networking stage where you exchange on topics of personal and family life such as e.g. leisure activities, getting around in Karlsruhe, child care, finding a doctor or good craftsman, family benefits and services, and a multitude of other subjects with likeminded people and experienced expats. Furthermore we offer organized tours in and around Karlsruhe to points of interest or organizations such as the Internationales Begegnungszentrum (International Meeting Center) or other institutions ideally based on your own suggestions. To facilitate the exchange outside the scheduled group meet-ups we opened a group on Facebook, where you can continue your discussions and set individual arrangements in a safe environment. Do not hesitate to contact us, we are happy to learn about your ideas and suggestions. Refreshments will be provided and you will also have the chance to talk with experienced internationals living in the area. We welcome both German and international partners and their families! Moderation: Dr. Jennifer Kübel (International Scientist at ICTP) Misc (registration etc.) professional child care is available until 7.00 p.m. Registration for child care is required and can only be provided for a minimum of 5 registered children.
