Exchange with Germany-Alumni from Latin America on the development and implementation of a circular economy

In the framework of the "Latin America Round Table/Internationalization" of the German Ministry of Education and Research, the KIT, invites you to an online exchange with Germany-Alumni from Latin America on the topic of circular economy, on 17 January 2022, 15:00 - 17:30 CET. Please check your local time here.

The event will be introduced with two key notes:

  • Prof. Dirk Hebel, Professor of Sustainable Construction at KIT: From sowing and harvesting future building materials: circular economy construction - how will future materials, components and construction methods have to look like in order to lead this claim into implementation?
  • Elizabeth Zapata González, Director of Technological Developments at the Chilean Economic Development Agency CORFO: Potentials and challenges in implementing a circular economy in the construction sector in Chile.

This will be followed by a Plenary Session with alumni from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico, sharing and discussing their projects and experiences on circular economy. The plenary session will be co-moderated by Prof. Dr. Vania Zuin Zeidler, Professor for sustainable Chemistry at Leuphana Universität Lüneburg and Prof. Dr. Andreas Braun, Professor of Regional Science at KIT.

The event will be held in English and via Zoom.
