Point in time during your studies
The first question you will have to ask yourself concerns the timing of your stay abroad.
We generally recommend a duration of stay of one semester up to a year, mostly after the third or fourth semester, when you have gained a first overview of your subject area.
We recommend that every student who would like to spend some time studying abroad to start gathering information at least 1.5 to 2 years in advance.
Stays can often be financed through scholarships. However, also for theses application deadlines are very long, so that you should start planning your stay at latest at the end of your first year at university.
