Re-registration (Rückmeldung)

At the end of your (first) semester at KIT, you will have to re-register, if you have been accepted as an exchange student at KIT for two semesters.

Re-registering (“rückmelden”) means that you have to pay once more the semester contribution, so remain enrolled as a KIT student.

How much you will have to pay and how is explained on the “students portal” (Studierendenportal).

The re-registration is open

• from January 15th to February 15th for re-registering for the following summer semester
• from July 1st to August 15th for the following winter semester.

In case you should encounter problems with re-registering or if you have missed the deadline, please contact the Students Office directly. The International Students Office is not responsible for the administration of the re-registration and we will not be able to help you.
