Re-inviting Research Alumni - "Reunion Grants"

With the Research Alumni Initiative, which has won an award of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, KIT has the opportunity to re-invite former visiting researchers who have pursued their career-paths further in their home country or elsewhere.

KIT’s International Scholars & Welcome Office cordially invites all former visiting researchers and/or their hosts to avail themselves of this possibility of support of their international collaborations.

Eligible are all professors and postdocs of KIT who want to re-invite a visiting researcher with a KIT-background (hosts), as well as Research Alumni of KIT (upon consultation with their hosts).*

Support/Grants:

1. Travel subsidies for short visits (lasting a few days up to two weeks) - a travelling allowance dependent on the region of origin

2. Research stay – Subsidy in the form of a grant of up to 1,500 € a month for stays of 1 to 3 months, e.g. to collaborate on a joint project or project proposal. For stays shorter than 30 days the grant will be reduced by 50.00 € a day.

Implementation period:

April 2015 - March 2016. (Closed)
