10th Humboldt-Tag at KIT: Jubilee with high information value for scientists

The International Scholars and Welcome Office (IScO) of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in June brought together outstanding scientists, experts for researchers mobility and representatives of the Humboldt Foundation.

In the ballroom of the student center at Adenauerring young scientists and young researchers were able to learn how internationalism in the world of Humboldt researchers works. The KIT facilities Young Investigator Network (YIN), Relationship Management (RSM), Karlsruhe House of Young Scientists (KHYS), Research Office (FOR) and International  Affairs (INTL), the Humboldt Regional Group Karlsruhe-Pforzheim, represented by Professor Dirk Wentzel, and the Secretary General of the Humboldt Foundation, Dr. Enno Aufderheide informed in lectures and personal consultations on funding opportunities and services offered in the field of international researcher mobility. In a "Science Slam", moderated by Professor Caroline Robertson-von Trotha, excellent scientists gave insights into their research fields and their professional life as an internationally mobile Humboldtian.

The anniversary day was brought to a close at a reception of the President, Professor Dr.-Ing. Holger Hanselka, in the house for guest lecturers (“Gastdozentenhaus”) of the Heinrich-Hertz-Stiftung, in the circle of the Humboldtians.
