With the YIN Lecture Series, the Young Investigator Network (YIN) wishes to make a contribution to strengthen the scientific community at KIT across disciplines, generations, and research institutions. To this aim a high-profile speaker will give a talk accessible to a broad audience three to four times a year, starting on 22nd of September 2015 with Prof. Metin Sitti: Inaugural YIN Lecture Small-Scale Mobile Robotics Prof. Metin Sitti, Director at the Max Plank Institute for Physical Intelligence Neuer Senatsaal at Campus South, Adolf-Würth-Gebäude, Bdg. 11.30, last floor September 22nd, 17.30-18.15 followed by a discussion of 20–25 min. www.yin.kit.edu/YIN-LectureSeries.php PS : Space is limited so we recommend you to arrive 10 min in advance to be sure to get a seat! For next year, we could secure a top-level line-up with 3 Nobel Prize winners having confirmed their visit: Prof. Harald zur Hausen (Physiology and Medicine 2008) Prof. Stefan Hell (Chemistry 2014) Prof. Jean-Marie Lehn (Chemistry 1987). A more precise program will be announced in the coming months.
